The Story Behind Bob Dylan’s ‘Bootleg Series’ (WSJ)

Berkowitz has worked closely with Dylan’s associates and staffers at Columbia on the development of Dylan’s “Bootleg Series,” which debuted in 1991. The way it works is that the Dylan camp decides what “bootleg” material will be released and then Berkowitz goes to work, helping to find and refine the music.
